SIENNA-prosjektet er et EU-finansiert prosjekt – "Stakeholder-informed ethics for new technologies with high socio-economic and human rights impact".[47] I en rapport fra prosjektet fra 2019[48] er det gjort en juridisk kartlegging blant annet innenfor genetikkområdet. Rapporten gjennomgår ulike internasjonale og nasjonale regelverk, og oppsummerer utfordringene ved gentesting og hvilke menneskerettigheter som står på spill i denne tabellen:

Tabellen skiller ikke mellom genetisk testing i og utenfor helsetjenesten, men indikerer hvilke interesser som står på spill. Ved genetisk testing utenfor helsetjenesten peker forfatterne på at det er uklart om gjeldende regelverk og internasjonale instrumenter beskytter disse interessene.
