Twenty countries participate in the network as of July 2011: Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Ireland, Israel, Latvia, Montenegro, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, Sweden and the United Kingdom.
Representatives from the World Health Organization, the European Commission, the United Nations Standing Committee on Nutrition, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, the International Obesity TaskForce and Consumers International participate as observers in the network.
Norway serves as the network secretariat. The secretarial functions are carried out by the Norwegian Directorate of Health.
Knut-Inge Klepp, Director General of Division Public Health, of the Norwegian Directorate of Health, is the leader of the network.
